Bareilly: The Under-14 boys’ and girls’ gymnastics teams representing Bareilly division secured third place and won bronze medals at the State Secondary School Gymnastics Competition being held in Agra from September 8.
The Bareilly division contingent delivered an impressive performance under the leadership of team managers Adesh Singh Yadav of Guru Gobind Singh Inter College, Bareilly, and Aishwarya Shukla of Draupadi Kanya Inter College, Bareilly. Coach Kush Agrawal guided the players throughout the competition.
The boys’ team comprised Shaurya Singh, Garvit Kumar, Rudraksh Pratap, Aksh Bajpai, Aman Sagar, Ayush Shekhar and Sagar. The girls’ team included Shrishti, Ankita, Akanksha, Anu Sahu, Vedika and Vanshika. Their performances helped Bareilly division finish third in the state-level competition.
Joint Director of Education, Bareilly Division, Ramagya Kumar, District Inspector of Schools, Bareilly, Dr Ajit Kumar, Divisional Sports Secretary Naeem Ahmad and Arvinder Kaur, Principal of Guru Gobind Singh Inter College, congratulated the players, team managers and coach on the achievement. They wished the young gymnasts continued success and a bright future.
